Without even realizing it I have become a teaching artist. My career has taken me through every dance venue from Lincoln Center to Broadway and everything in between. I am especially fond of working with college commercial dancers, musical theatre actors and singers who are looking to gain confidence in movement, and well-trained high school dancers who are seeking a career in commercial dance or musical theatre.
Elizabeth Parkinson has had an extensive performance career starting as a principal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet and ending as a Tony Nominated lead actor in the Broadway dance musical Movin’ Out directed and choreographed by Twyla Tharp.
"Elizabeth has been my biggest inspiration since I began training with her 14 years ago and I definitely would not be where I am today in my dance career without her guidance and mentorship. She is so invested in every one of her students and pushes them to be the best that they can be. She is kind, knowledgeable, joyful, talented, passionate and the greatest example of a hard worker. I am beyond thankful for her each and every day and still aspire to be like her onstage and off."
